Job Description

Work Status:

  • Part Time
  • No Weekends or Holidays are required

Job Description

  • Perform in-depth research to verify land coordinates and legal status, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Investigate environmental and cultural resource aspects relevant to project proposals, providing detailed findings
  • Research and ensure adherence to various Federal laws and regulations, particularly those related to National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
  • Assist the Primary Reviewer in specific research areas, providing expertise and support as needed

 

Remote Work and Travel

  • Eligible for remote work with occasional travel, estimated to be two-three trips per quarter, each lasting three-four business days
  • Familiarity with fieldwork in remote Alaska beneficial for those leading travel
  • The amount of travel cannot be determined at this time, although it is unlikely to be more than two to three trips per quarter
  • It is highly dependent on the number of requests for assistance we get from Direct Service Tribes

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or environmental engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in technical writing and environmental compliance
  • Knowledge of NEPA documentation and procedures
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
