The Office of Education, within the Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking a Medical Education Program Assistant 1 to join the administrative team to support and assist in the coordination all aspects of the Undergraduate Medical Education program within Internal Medicine. The Program Assistant, will help the Program Specialist create schedules, assigns clinical teams, send alerts and reminders, collect evaluations for students, tracks student progress and completion of requirements, coordinate with faculty to update curriculum and student information each block. The program Assistant has primary responsibility for Phase 3 and SUB-I program including reviewing applications in VSAS, coordinating visiting student rotations and UNM student electives. This also included distributing and collecting evaluations and submitting grades for the Program Director.
The Program Assistant will also serve as P-Card holder to complete purchases for the Clerkship events and educational materials for students and may support in completing other purchases for the Education department related to residency. May schedule meetings and reserve rooms and provide other administrative support for the unit including providing support and direction for student employees.
This is a high priority position for a busy and complex department.

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
