Position Summary | This is an off campus work study/student employment position for graduate and undergraduate students located throughout the
Albuquerque area.
The UNM Service Corps program is open to students who are interested in
building community through programs with children and youth (K-12) and
families, with a focus on community capacity building. Projects include
collaboration with a diverse team working community leaders working to advance
equity in education, juvenile justice, community health, immigration, environmental, and tribal justice. If you
enjoy advocating for social justice with the communities, this is a challenging
and rewarding program in which to serve.
Must be hardworking,
multi-talented, caring, and responsible.
Must have a passion to work with communities. Experience working with
children and community is helpful. Fluent
Spanish speakers are strongly encourage to apply. Undergraduate students
must be attending school full-time enrolled in at least 12 credit hours (Fall
& Spring) or 6 credit hours (summer). Graduate student must be
enrolled in at least 6 credit hours. This program requires a flexible work
schedule of 15 hours per week, which
may include Saturdays. The UNM Service Corps experience includes participation
in monthly professional development opportunities. |
