Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Water Resources Project Manager, we'll count on you to:

  • Represent HDR as a visible presence in local markets
  • Manage delivery of water resource management projects, which may include, but not be limited to, hydrology and hydraulic (H&H) projects, dam and levee projects, and stormwater management projects
  • Manage the preparation of studies, alternatives development, analyses, computer models, construction plans, specifications, and reports, working directly with the project owner and/or client
  • Direct and coordinate work of staff and single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from project initiation to closeout)
  • Produce and coordinate projects concurrently
  • Establish and maintain client relationships with multiple client organizations, and be involved with proposal writing and interviews
  • Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders
  • Coordinate staffing and workload throughout entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule
  • Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule
  • Work with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews
  • Implement QA/QC procedures
  • Lead site visits and fieldwork
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 5 years related experience
  • A minimum 2 years project management experience
  • New Mexico PE license,
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • PMP certification
