UNM Facilities Management (FM) is seeking a dynamic individual to be an Energy Services Tech for FM Engineering and Energy Services. Their ideal candidate will operate and maintain the campus energy management and control systems. Provide monitoring, diagnostic trouble-shooting, repair and maintenance of all controls assigned to the Division. Participates in the development and implementation of Energy Services projects.
UNM Engineering and Energy Services provides technical direction for the campus, which consists of development of the utility master plan; project management of selected utility- and engineering-related projects; site planning and design reviews for capital projects; building HVAC system re-commissioning; HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and civil design of minor projects; facility condition surveys; construction inspection; trouble-shooting and problem solving assistance for the Maintenance & Planning Division; and building energy management system operation.
High school diploma or GED; at least 8 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Certification/Licensure: Current New Mexico Journeyman in one of the following disciplines: Journeyman Refrigeration (JR), Journeyman Gasfitter (JG), Journeyman Plumber and Natural Gasfitter (JPG), Journeyman Boiler Operator (BO1), Journeyman Boiler Operator (BO2) or a Journeyman Electrician (JE98), Journeyman Plumbing (Jp), Journeyman Gas (Jg), ES-3J Sound and Intercommunication and Electrical Alarm Systems, EE-98J Electrical ((includes all ESJ Specialties), EE-98) Electrical (includes all ESJ Specialties), EL-1J Electrical Distribution Systems, including transmission lines, ES-3 Sound and Intercommunication and Electrical Alarm Systems, EE-98 Electrical (includes ER-1 and ES classifications) & EL-1 Electrical Distribution Systems, including transmission lines.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
