Staff Pharmacist - Per Diem
Haven Behavioral Hospital of Albuquerque

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist at Haven Behavioral of Albuquerque, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.

Schedule: This per diem, nonexempt position will provide PTO coverage for the Director of Pharmacy and/or staff up to 40 hours for a week's PTO and/or as needed including after hours and weekends on-call. Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm.

About the Facility: Haven Behavioral Hospital of Albuquerque is a licensed, acute care behavioral hospital that provides a safe, nurturing environment for the treatment of complex mental health and substance abuse issues. Offerings include innovative and customized treatments in both inpatient and outpatientprograms. Care is customized based on individual needs and preferences to help individuals move past illness or addiction and take back control of their lives. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy:This centralized pharmacy utilizes COPE and Pyxis/HCS with most medications automatically distributed after review by the Director. Pharmacy hours are 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Pharmacy coverage is provided by a remote services provider outside of pharmacy hours.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
  • Current New Mexico Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting preferred
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
  • Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements (may be required):

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or a Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or a Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination)
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
  • COVID Vaccine-Full
