An Off-Campus Work-Study Position
This is an Off-Campus Work-Study position with the LNESC Upward Bound Program at various high schools around Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The student will work on a one-to-one or in a group setting to mentor/tutor high school students in math. Days of position are Monday through Thursday from 12:00 PM - 4:30 PM.
Upward Bound provides tutoring and mentoring services to help the students at Albuquerque High Schools succeed in math.
Tutor/Mentor will assist students with their coursework in Mathematics (Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Calculus). Tutor/mentor is expected to act as a mentor and model leadership behaviors for participating students.
Daily Activities and Expectations Include:
- Provide structured learning experiences during after school hours
- Assist students with homework
- Ensure proper documentation of each session is filled out

Student must be able to work in a team, have good communication skills, leadership skills, motivated, a self-starter, be creative, and have a love for learning.
Student must have a work-study award for 2022 - 2023 academic year.
Bilingual preferred.
Must be able to pass an Albuquerque Public School background check. APS will provide the pass/fail result.
Availability to work one Saturday a month.
