STV is seeking a highly motivatedSite/Civil Engineer for a position in our Buildings Division in either our Philadelphia or Douglassville, PA offices, with experience in site/civil design projects.

This role emphasizes involvement in project planning, design, production, and delivery of Civil Engineering associated with buildings and facilities. This position also offers opportunities to mentor younger staff. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a strong technical foundation. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to lead challenging projects while coordinating the efforts of multi-disciplinary teams and mentoring junior staff. For this role the candidate will work under the supervision of the site/civil engineering manager and will work closely with the existing civil teams in both the Philadelphia and Douglassville offices.

Experience with project oversight with both the design process and the coordination of a team of designers is required. Your involvement and management will be essential to performing at the highest level for our clients. At STV, your input and technical knowledge would also be valued while supporting project planning and aiding with proposal preparation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and oversee design plans including horizontal and vertical alignment, drainage, grading, erosion/sediment control, storm water management, utilities (i.e., water, sewer, storm drain), cross sections/profiles and site features for both private and public sector clients.
  • Manage design development and direct technical requirements to other design staff.
  • Coordinate with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget.
  • Develop and oversee the development of specifications, cost estimates, reports and preparing final bid packages.
  • Develop and oversee design plans, including construction staging/laydown area plans, signing & pavement marking plans.
  • Establish working relationships and interface with client technical staff and project managers.
  • Assist with the preparation of technical and cost proposals.
  • Participate in project meetings with clients, sub-consultants, and the project team.
  • Develop and oversee site feasibility evaluations and assessments, and constructability evaluation.
  • Design and oversee Hydrology and Storm water Management design.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience preparing civil engineering documents associated with grading, erosion/sediment control, storm water management, utilities (i.e., water, sewer, storm drain, and conduit) and site features.
  • Experience in public and private facility design/engineering projectswould be a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong Hydrology, Hydraulics, and Grading experience.
  • Experience with multi-discipline infrastructure engineering design and construction projects.

Compensation Range:

$104,964.00 - $139,952.00
