Position Summary | The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center seeks a
faculty member to join the Division of Cardiology.
This position is Open rank and Open track. The successful candidate will
provide excellent patient care and, as a member of New Mexico's only academic
medical center, will actively participate in research and fellow education. Salary and rank will be commensurate with
experience and education.
The north-central New Mexico/Albuquerque area is a unique
and stunning place in which to live with a diversity of climate, geography, and
culture that defies easy description.
The city itself sits at the base of the Sandia Mountains along the Rio
Grande Valley just south of Santa Fe.
The central New Mexico weather is nearly ideal with plentiful sun, and moderate

Qualifications | Minimum Qualifications: - Board certified/board eligible in Cardiovascular
Disease by date of hire
- Board certification/board eligible in
Echocardiography
- Eligible to work in US
- Level 2 certification in cardiac MRI and cardiac
CT
Preferred Qualifications: - Leadership skills in coordinating in-patient and
out-patient care
- Experience/interest with broad spectrum of
cardiovascular disease
- Training and/or experience in diagnosis and
management of advanced heart failure and advanced heart failure therapies
- Teaching experience at all levels of training
- Experience/interest in scholarly pursuits and
mentorship of trainees within the field of cardiology
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion,
and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
