The University of New Mexico is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, detail-oriented, and organized individual to join the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) team as a Program Coordinator to support various programs within the Faculty Research Development Office (FRDO) and OVPR, including the Grand Challenges Program. This position will report to the Director of the Faculty Research Development Office with an additional reporting line to the OVPR Associate Director of Finance & Administration, and Grand Challenges Sr. Program Manager.

The selected candidate will coordinate, oversee, and/or perform a wide variety of administrative, secretarial, and program support activities. Additionally, they will plan and coordinate the day-to-day administrative and operational activities of OVPR programs and initiatives, including those in the FRDO, OVPR, and the Grand Challenges program. This is a term, full-time, benefits eligible position with funding available through 6/30/2025. Continuance beyond that date is subject to the availability of additional funding. This position may require limited travel within New Mexico.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
