Position Summary |
The Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center (HSLIC) seeks applicants for our Library Marketing & Support Coordinator position. This position manages and coordinates HSLIC's communications, marketing, and social media efforts, providing support and guidance to HSLIC faculty and staff; provides assistance to HSLIC faculty, including coordinating monthly meetings; and assists the Planning and Business Support unit with day-to-day administrative and operational functions within the library including purchasing and travel arrangements. The ideal candidate for this position is a creative, action-oriented, and enthusiastic individual who can work both independently and with a team to complete a project. Job Duties: - Develops and implements HSLIC's communications, marketing, and social media strategies, manages platforms, and encourages greater social media participation. Leads communications campaigns and associated committees.
- Trains HSLIC staff and faculty on departmental, HSC, and University communication policies and procedures.
- Serves as the liaison between HSLIC and HSC Marketing and Communications.
- Works with personnel from across the organization to develop various communication and marketing materials using a variety of media that promotes HSLIC's services to targeted audiences.
- Serves as secondary department purchaser for goods, services, and travel.
- Coordinates HSLIC faculty meetings. Oversees all faculty voting and takes meeting minutes.
- Prepares and distributes the HSLIC morning message.
- Sorts incoming mail and prepares outgoing mail for UNM mailing services or shipping & receiving.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Conditions of Employment |
- If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
- Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
- All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the US-UNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Minimum Qualifications |
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
Preferred Qualifications |
1. Experience assisting with, developing, and executing communications and marketing material, including social media, to promote technical and/or academic services and resources. 2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 3. Strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. 4. Experience coordinating projects across multiple groups/units/divisions. 5. Experience coordinating meetings and taking meeting minutes. 6. Knowledge of UNM purchasing and travel practices. 7. Experience with UNM enterprise systems including LoboMart, Chrome River, Marq, Constant Contact, and Events Calendar. 8. Expertise with the MS Office Suite and the Adobe Creative Suite. |
