Responsibilities
- Provide personal, equipment, and property security for assigned area to include but not limited to patrolling and examining assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle.
- Examine doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.
Inform and warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
Report areas of concerns and emergencies, such as safety and security hazards; contacts appropriate authorities (APD, AFD, etc. as necessary) giving descriptive information.
- Maintain and complete necessary reports and documentation.
- Take ownership of assignments; other duties as assigned or requested.
Communicate and listen effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge.
Cooperate and interact with supervisors, peers, other departments, and all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to "service".
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Completed security guard training though an approved agency Level I and II or obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Less than one year experience in general security
- In order to drive a Lovelace owned vehicle you must possess a valid NM driver's license on your person no DUI/DWI within the last five years
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Hospital environment experience
- CPR Certification
