Position: Application Engineer I
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Salary Range: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
Clearance: Clearable to Q

KeyLogic is seeking an Application Engineer to support a major national laboratory.

The Finance Systems department provides software solutions in order to enable efficient Finance operations at Sandia. We are part of the larger Enterprise Systems group which is a highly integrated team of departments focused on delivering innovative, reliable, cost-effective software systems for the Laboratories.


Responsibilities:

  • Gather functional Supply Chain requirements, supporting IT Service Management processes, IT documentation, testing, and could start learning some application development skills, desktop and peripheral application and hardware support.
  • Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities.
  • Translate detailed design into application systems.
  • Test, debug, and refine applications to produce the required product.
  • Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
  • Enhance applications to improve performance and add functionality.
  • Provide technical direction to engineers to ensure program deadlines are met.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and 2 years of experience related to the position.
  • S. Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department. of Energy Q security clearance.
  • Experience installing, troubleshooting and supporting a Windows based desktop computer including attached peripherals such as scanners and iPhones following requirements established by customer.
  • Experience evaluating and gathering IT requirements to assist in resolving customer's technical challenges.

Desired Skills

  • Experience troubleshooting scanners and iPhones.
  • .Net development experience
  • SQL experience
