STV Inc. currently has an opening in Washington, DC for a Project / Sr. Construction Manager in our Transportation division to work on various transit-related construction projects under a Task Order Contract with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). The successful candidate will support our current staff while assisting in growing the Construction Management and CEI practice to better service our clients in Washington, DC Metro Area.
Responsibilities:
Manages schedules and budgets, quality control, safety, and coordination of support staff
Manages client relationships and develops and maintains schedules and budgets, directs, and mentors project staff, and ensures quality reviews are complete
Identifies scheduling and cost variances and implements recommendations for corrective action
Creates work assignments, directs and provides technical and quality guidance
Reviews project scopes to ensure that program needs, schedule, and costs are adhered to
Coordinates between various departments and ensures project elements are effective
Conducts research and prepares recommendations for complex project management, engineering, and construction problems
Establishes and maintains liaisons with stakeholders using an integrated program approach
Assists supporting offices in obtaining major approvals and agreements from city, state, and jurisdictions including Federal agencies to assure project schedules and goals are met
Manages the review and evaluation of changes to engineering specifications;
Leads and manages activities on all aspects of the project including resolving issues
Manages the resolution of issues that arise between WMATA staff and the jurisdictional agency
Ensures contractors' deliverables meet contract specifications, timetables, and budget
Requirements:
A minimum level of seven (20) years-experience as a construction project manager
Demonstrated experience in transit and transportation projects
Ability to lead preliminary design, final design, and procedures for construction projects
Experience with principles, practices, and techniques of project management to coordinate, review, and provide expert technical management for the assigned projects
Experience with project controls including critical path scheduling and budgetary control systems
Experience with WMATA engineering requirements, program/project policies and procedures and Federal, state, and local transit administration regulations and policies
Compensation Range:
