The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

The CDD is seeking a Program Coordinator who will provide administration coordination to a team of early intervention staff and clinical providers for the FOCUS program. The FOCUS program is an early intervention program that provides families with early intervention services and collaborates with UNM Family and Community medical clinics to provide access to comprehensive family medical care.

The Program Coordinator will coordinate day-to-day operations related to program activities, data entry/management, quality assurance, data auditing and reporting, and general administrative needs. They will work with a team of other administrative personnel to carry out training, event planning, preparation, and post-event activities. The Program Coordinator will also create program reports for required EI activities to ensure timely completion of services and timely billing, and prepare data reports for NM Family Infant Toddler's quarterly and annual program performance reviews. The position also audits and analyzes client records to assure that the program complies with regulations. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will assist with purchasing, travel reimbursements and production of marketing materials. Lastly, the individual may supervise and/or lead lower-graded administrative staff around records management.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience coordinating administrative functions and/or services in a medical or community-based program.

Excellent skills and experience with program billing utilizing an integrated state/federal-based system which includes database management, service input and scrutinizing data reports.

Strong MS Office Suite skills including database applications.

Knowledge of HIPAA and PHI regulations.
