Job Summary:

Responsible for the retention and continued growth of assigned accounts. The primary focus will be to meet and exceed targeted quarterly and annual growth within the portfolio while providing Legendary Customer Service. This position collaborates with various departments throughout the organization to develop strategic ways to provide a positive customer experience and proactively seek out opportunities to increase revenue.


The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Essential Functions:

  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
  • Provides Legendary Customer Service to our corporate target customers and larger potential customer base
  • Collaborates with leadership to identify Enterprise opportunities for revenue gain within customer base and executes said targets
  • Efficiently and consistently meets/exceeds Targeted Annual Growth and Portfolio Health Target Goals for assigned customer accounts
  • Serves as the company "expert" on each assigned account and serves as a liaison to facilitate all effort to provide a positive customer experience
  • Obtain information/data from the customer to support the growth of sales potential
  • Performs monthly health checks with customers in effort to maintain a robust partnership
  • Collaborates with leadership/supervisor to perform a quarterly business review of portfolio with the customer
  • Creates value with safety initiatives in alignment with customers and Texas First Rental
  • Develops and executes business plans using the SMART Goal with each assigned target
  • Responsible for the overall management of each assigned account to include, but not limited to, the management of:
    • rate structure
    • accounting lifecycle in collaboration with the Finance Dept.
    • customer damage and/or billing disputes with customer
    • continued communication of rental needs internally to facilitate legendary customer service for assigned accounts

  • Meets with the customer to review Annual rate and commitment
  • Prepares and presents approved contracts/lease agreements to assigned accounts and effectively communicates agreements within Texas First Rentals management and sales teams
  • Prepares sales plans, expense, daily call, and sales reports
  • Maintains records of sales or other business transactions
  • Prepare sales or other contracts
  • Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expert knowledge of construction equipment and the rental industry
  • Expert knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales)
  • Excellent selling, negotiating, and closing skills with the ability to build long-term business relationships
  • Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Understands the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
  • Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Driven and results-oriented; business development, KPIs, and market expansion to meet corporate targets
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization
  • First-class organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills, deadline-oriented
  • Understands written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents, and communicates effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
  • Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization and customer operations
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Minimum of four years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required; Three to five years of experience preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Travel:

  • Extensive driving required; overnight travel required
  • Valid driver's license

Physical Requirements:

  • This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
  • This role frequently communicates with others, and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines

Work Environment:

  • This job is generally performed in a retail and office environment; exposure to computer screens; exposure to noise, dust, grease, fumes, gases, heat, cold, and inclement weather conditions
  • Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
