As a Modeling and Simulation Engineer for BlueHalo, you will work with a team of analysts, software developers, and subject matter experts (SMEs), to develop models and simulations supporting the study of Directed Energy (DE) systems. You will lead and participate in physics, mission, and campaign-level study design, implementation and testing of DE system models and threat effects to support analyses and studies.
You have a knack for analysis and communication, bridging the gap between SMEs of different fields, software engineers and analysts. You bring strong technical experience with any of the following: MATLAB, Python, C++, or other modern programming language. You have a vision for extending and improving software frameworks, and the ability to communicate to developers using Git software repositories, open source tools, Python scripts, MATLAB data processing scripts, virtual machines, etc. to support modeling and simulation tool improvements/needs. You are experienced with data-driven analysis, design optimization, and novel problem solving.
