Our diverse and inclusive culture is at the heart of our success, and we are looking for a motivated Human Resources Intern to join our HR team at our Marlton, NJ corporate office.

Global Furniture Group is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Human Resources Intern to contribute to our HR functions. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for individuals interested in gaining practical experience in human resources within a dynamic and global corporate setting. The selected candidate will work closely with our HR professionals and assist in various aspects of HR operations.

This internship will be for a duration of 8 weeks, from June 10, 2024, to August 2, 2024.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Post openings on various job boards according to Affirmative Action guidelines.
  • Preparing and sending offer and rejection letters or emails to candidates.
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Assist in coordinating new hire orientations.
  • Assist in AAP recruitment outreach and reporting initiatives.
  • Participate in activities related to employee engagement and team-building initiatives.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in human resources and employee relations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Education

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
