The Department of Spanish and Portuguese is looking for an enthusiastic student who can provide a variety of administrative roles to support faculty, staff and graduate students. This position is only for the summer 2024.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Greeting visitors, students, staff & faculty, receiving and routing telephone calls with a high degree of professionalism.
2. Picking-up and sorting mail & packages, making occasional on-campus deliveries
3. Performing a routine clerical, data entry and/or word processing work as assigned.
4. Ordering, stocking, and distributing office supplies, and placing work order tickets
5. Assisting with copying of materials.
6. Assisting with filing, shredding, and scanning.
7. Scheduling conference room calendars
8. Assisting with departmental projects and events.
9. Assisting with department equipment inventory
10. Assisting with department social media and website
11. Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Preferred Qualifications:
1.Ability to understand and follow specific instructions & procedures.
2.Must be able to work independently
3.Word processing and/or data entry skills.
4.Skill in the use of operating basic office equipment.
5.Excellent customer service skills.
6.Organizational/Records maintenance skills and attention to detail.
7.Must be available during regular business hours Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
8.Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Portuguese
9.Prefer work-study qualified student (but not required)
