Basic Qualifications

Bachelors' of Science (STEM related field) degree (Masters of Science Degree preferred) or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 15 years of demonstrated leadership.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Mission Architect focused on the Intelligence Community. The position provides an opportunity to help customers improve current operations and conceive of new ways of satisfying intelligence needs. The incumbent will put the mission first and guide the company developing profitable strategies to contribute to operations. The successful candidate will bring deep personal knowledge of Intelligence Communities operational activities to help the company design products and shape customer opportunities. The candidate will orchestrate engineering and business development activities to position the company as a trusted partner to our customers.


REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Identifies and captures new business opportunities in the international and domestic Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) marketplace, with emphasis on High Frequency (HF) and Very High/Ultra High Frequency (V/UHF) Communications Intelligence (COMINT) Direction Finding (DF) Systems and Satellite Communication & Collection Systems;
  • Establishes and maintains frequent Intelligence Community (IC) and Defense customer contacts in the international and domestic SIGINT, COMINT/DF and Satellite Communication marketplace;
  • Collaborates with customers to develop system Concept of Operations (CONOPS), architectures, and requirements for SIGINT, COMINT/DF and Satellite Communication collection systems;
  • Develops and presents briefing packages of business area capabilities and system offerings to international and domestic customers;
  • Works closely with business area technical and management team to align business area strategy, capabilities, investments, and offerings with SIGINT, COMINT/DF and Satellite Communication markets;
  • Performs competitor analyses and develops teaming relationships as needed;
  • Works closely with Export Compliance organization to obtain all export licenses for business pursuits in the international marketplace.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated technical understanding of RF Collection and Communications Mission
  • Demonstrated ability to architect new and innovative mission solutions
  • Knowledge of modeling and simulation techniques for end-to-end missions
  • Working knowledge of US government acquisition processes
  • Ability to develop and execute proposal plans and strategies
  • Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams
  • Oral presentation skills commensurate with executive level briefings and public speaking engagements. Excellent business proposal writing skills
  • Performs competitor analyses and develops teaming relationships as needed
  • Experience with direction finding systems, arrays and algorithms and their performance characteristics
  • Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) system design and HF propagation;
  • Experience with Commercial Satellite Communication networks and protocols;
  • Detailed understanding of the SIGINT, COMINT/DF and Satellite Communication market place including major customers and industry competitors;
  • Able to travel worldwide, up to 20%.

Target salary range: USD $228,313.60/Yr. - USD $247,042.45/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
