The University of New Mexico invites applications as it seeks a dynamic career individual for the position of Career Development Facilitator for Career Services. Under general supervision, the Career Development Facilitator assists students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members in developing, evaluating, and/or implementing career/employment plans and decisions with special emphasis on assisting students, faculty and employers to connect. This position will coach and prepare individuals with all aspects of the career development process. Specifically, but not limited to: choosing a major, internship and job search skills, resume, cover letter, personal statement development and critique, utilize available technology to design and deliver career related presentations, and career tool development. In addition, CDFs will assist faculty to develop understanding of the curriculum and corresponding job market to build potential employer contacts. Position may provide office hours to assigned college areas to advise students. Within one year of hire, the successful candidate must join NCDA and complete a Facilitating Career Development (FCD) course to enhance skills in career counseling, development, and guidance to better serve clients and contribute to the Office of Career Services' mission.
