Job Summary:
The Corporate Director of Quality will lead and implement product, process, equipment and tooling qualifications and continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and consistency of products and processes. This position will provide leadership, influence and direction for the company Quality activities. A high level of collaboration is required between multiple organizations, including Supplier Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing. This position will have corporate-level responsibility for a total Quality Management System and will drive the Quality strategy for the organization. The Corporate Director of Quality will be the MPC ambassador to all customers, working directly with them in regard to all quality requirements.
Responsibilities:
*Maintain and improve corporate quality management system in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. *Provide strategic QMS direction to plant QA Engineers and team members. *Apply statistical process control methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes. *Design and implement quality training programs to all personnel. *Participate in customer visits and sales meeting, highlighting MPC's comprehensive QA capabilities. *Interface with customers and suppliers to investigate and perform analysis of any customer quality concerns. *Lead development and application for the company in areas such as problem solving, statistical methods, Six Sigma and other various quality tools as appropriate. *Communicate significant issues or developments identified during quality audits and provide recommended process improvements. *Take ownership for the continuous reduction in cost of quality by using Lean / Six Sigma/ CI tools. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality or equivalent. * Minimum of 7 years of Corporate Quality Leadership experience at a Tier 1 Automotive Supplier * An impeccably strong change agent and influential leader with exemplary experience and success in the areas of Quality, Customer Satisfaction Improvement & Sustainability, Six Sigma, Process Improvement, Cost Avoidance and Optimization. * A strong communicator who is able to work with all levels of the organization. * Experience providing support to a large and diverse customer base. * Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills required. * Up to 25% travel required. * Ability to lead employees to assure company goals and results are met. * Familiarity with plastic injection molding is preferred. * Willingness to relocate to our Corporate Headquarters in Wisconsin.
